Katya Brewington
Founder and CEO, M.Ed., LPC/MHSP/S, NCC, ACS (she/her)My role
I’m the founder and CEO of Brewington, LLC and Cedar Tree Wellness Center. Since 2003, I’ve provided counseling to individuals, couples, families, and groups—working with children (6+), adolescents, and adults. My goal for Cedar Tree Wellness Center is to provide a local space where Nashville and Tennessee residents can access the mental health care that they need.
Training & Credentials
I hold a Master’s in Counseling from Vanderbilt University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor/MHSP and Approved Supervisor in Tennessee and nationwide, a National Certified Counselor, and American Red Cross–certified in disaster response. Since 2011, I’ve supervised licensure candidates and maintain membership in ACA, TCA, TMHCA, and Chi Sigma Iota.
Outside the Office
Before founding Cedar Tree, I was a college professor and translator. I’m fluent in English, Bulgarian, and Russian, and in my spare time, I love hiking, traveling, and gardening.
Alexis Marks
Receptionist & OFFICE Assistant (She/Her)My role
I’m the Receptionist & Office Assistant at Cedar Tree Wellness Center. I’m often the first person clients and referral sources speak with when they reach out, and I do my best to make that first connection warm and helpful. I handle day-to-day operations like scheduling and keeping the office running smoothly so our clinicians can focus on supporting our clients.
Training & Credentials
I am a born and raised Nashvilian and a proud graduate of Hillsboro High School with concentration in Business and Marketing. My past experience includes retail, logistics, and the hospitality industry. Not a stranger to life's ups and downs myself, I am thrilled to be able to assist others find the help they need.
Outside the Office
When I’m not at Cedar Tree, I love spending time with my family, especially my 2 young children. I also enjoy dancing, eating out, and roller skating.
Yoav Bar
administrative assistant (he/him)My role
I’m an Administrative Assistant at Cedar Tree Wellness Center. I support the day-to-day operations of our practice, assisting with billing, payroll, and other administrative tasks to help keep things running smoothly. I work closely with Razaw to make sure our clients and staff have the support they need.
Outside the Office
Outside of Cedar Tree, I’m a composer and songwriter based in Brooklyn. I trained in Cross-Disciplinary Composition at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and have performed on piano and violin since childhood. I’ve written original music for theater in Israel and New York, and I’m the co-creator of Vanya!, a full-length musical that won Best Musical Score at NYTF 2024.
